Defensive Pistol Level 2 builds upon the Level 1 course by adding multiple threat engagements, movement, positional shooting and use of cover and concealment. This is a more dynamic and physical course requiring you to problem solve and will develop situational awareness. This course stresses vision as a key component to be able to shoot fast and accurate.

1 Day Course (8 Hours)

Prerequisites - Prior training similar to Defensive Pistol 1

Topics Covered Include -

  • Review of safety and operations.

  • Multiple threat engagements and transitions.

  • Shooting speed and accuracy

  • Facing movements.

  • Moving with a firearm.

  • Moving and shooting.

  • Positional shooting.

  • Use of cover and concealment.

Equipment list -

  • Modern semi-automatic pistol with 3 magazines

  • Sturdy belt and holster

    • (Notes on holsters. Must be rigid, ie, no soft nylon holsters and no Blackhawk Serpa holsters)

  • 550 rounds of ammunition for your pistol

  • Eye protection, wrap around

  • Ear protection, muff style are recommended

  • Water & Lunch (as needed)

  • Sunblock/insect repellent as needed

  • Rain gear as needed

  • Long pants and sleeves are recommended.

  • Sturdy shoes, you will be on your feet a lot.

  • Notebook/pen

  • Cleaning kit with lube
