Founded by Don Edwards in 2008, Greenline has provided hands-on high-level combat advisory and training services to the US DoD and Law Enforcement entities at all levels and continues to do so. Greenline offers professional, multidisciplinary firearms training for lawfully armed US Citizens. The primary staff are recognized as some of the top Subject Matter Experts in the Night Vision industry and are the leading Tactical Night Vision Trainers in the US. The Greenline team also provides consulting to the firearms and defense industry and can leverage experiences that are both current and diverse.

Don Edwards

Founder, owner and lead instructor, Don Edwards is a 20+ year veteran of US Army Special Operations. He began his career in the 3rd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment where he was a participant in Operation Just Cause in Panama. Retired from 20th Special Forces Group where he served as Team Sergeant during combat operations in Iraq and Intel Sergeant while deployed in Afghanistan. He served for five years as the Use of Force training manager and primary instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA instructing in tactics and firearms as well. Mr. Edwards has worked as tactical adviser in the field to the Department of Defense since 2008 serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan and is a FLETC certified firearms instructor and is the former Director of Training and LE sales for Tactical Night Vision Company.

 

Sam Houston

Sam Houston is a 10-year Veteran of the US Navy where he flew onboard P-3C Orion Surveillance Aircraft as a Flight Tech and Sensor Operator supporting combat operations in multiple theatres. Transitioning to the civilian sector, he became a qualified UAV Operator and Maintainer on RQ-27 autonomous systems logging over 2,000 hours supporting conventional and Special Operations Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan both on the battlefield and remotely. Sam was also a thermal and electronic surveillance sensor operator on RC-12 Aircraft supporting US interests in the AFRICOM AOR, and owned and operated a night vision hog hunting outfitting service taking clients into the Florida swamps and forests to search, locate and harvest feral pigs with the aid of NV and thermal optics. From 2015-2022 he ran the NV Goggle Build and Repair programs for TNVC, is currently in the FL Nat’l Guard as a Forward Observer, and continues serving industry as a technical adviser and a night vision Subject Matter Expert.

 

Erik Vargas

Erik Vargas is a former Army Ranger Sniper and a current Army National Guardsmen. He’sspent over 13 years in the military with over 8 as a sniper. Erik served four combat deployments with the 75th Ranger Regiment to Afghanistan serving as a rifleman, rifle team leader, and two as a sniper team leader. His passion is competing, teaching marksmanship, and tactics for real-world and competition applications. Erik has been to three military sniper courses which are the Army Special Forces Sniper Course, the MARSOC Advanced Sniper Course, and the Army Sniper School.Erik competes professionally for the All-Guard Shooting Teams and has won multiple accolades to include the 2020 US Army Small Arms Championship and the 2021 Armed Forces Skill at Arms Sniper Championship. He is an Army Distinguished Rifleman and an Army Distinguished Pistol Shot badge recipient. Erik also earned the National Guard Chief’s 50 badge for the Sniper discipline, an award only awarded to the top four snipers in the National Guard per year.

 

Joshua Kent

Joshua Kent is one of the newest instructors to Greenline Tactical. He has a diverse background of experience which encompasses military and law enforcement. His training started early upon entering into law enforcement back in 2000. He has served in the law enforcement community for 15+ years. He has worked for Sheriff’s, and Police Departments. During his time in law enforcement he has worked on gang units, patrol, and SWAT warrant service teams. 

His military time of more than 17 years has been in the Army Special Forces regiment, with 20th SFG(A). Qualified as a SF weapons sergeant he has over 10 deployments between Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. Some of the many qualifications are Special Forces Sniper Course, Special Operations Target Interdiction Course, German Urban Sniper Course, Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat, and SFARTAETEC.

 
 

Eric Butler

Eric Butler has a background in law enforcement spanning over a decade. During his career, Mr. Butler served in the Patrol Division, Narcotics Division, Gang Unit and SWAT team. While serving with SWAT and specialized divisions, Mr. Butler participated in several hundred high risk warrant services, undercover investigations and overt operations. 

Additionally, Mr. Butler has had the pleasure of being assigned to various dignitary protection details including President George W. Bush and Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster. Mr. Butler is a consultant on night vision gear and mission related equipment in the firearms industry, and continues to train law enforcement, military and civilians on the use of night vision, firearms and tactics. 

Mr. Butler’s law enforcement awards include the Medal of Valor, two Meritorious Service Awards, Secret Service Certificate of Commendation, FBI Certificate of Commendation, and numerous other division and individual commendations. Mr. Butler currently resides in coastal Georgia. 

 

Jon Jeu

Jon Jeu is a 20+ year veteran with over 10 years of law enforcement experience. 

Jon began his military career in 1992 as an Infantryman in the Army National Guard. He served in various roles and assignments from positions in a Scout Reconnaissance Platoon, Military Police, PSD, Cavalry Scout, Training NCO, Readiness NCO, and Operations NCO at several units.  

He was assigned to the National Guard Marksmanship Training Center in 2018.  NGMTC is responsible for tactical small arms instruction and marksmanship competition across the nation and internationally where his experience and leadership was instrumental in training today's warriors. He became a member of the All Guard International Combat Team in 2019.  This team competes nationally and internationally against other military forces around the world.  Jon became the NCOIC of the team and conducted specialized training and competition training for some of the best shooters in the world.

Jon’s service includes three deployments:  Iraq (2004-2005) (2008-2009) and Afghanistan (2012-2013).

Jon was hired at a municipal law enforcement agency in 1995 and entered the patrol division upon completing his initial training. He was selected as a S.W.A.T. Operator for his agency in 1998, where he performed duties as a Sniper, Explosive Breacher, and Entry Team Assaulter.  Jon was assigned as an undercover narcotics investigator around 1999. Jon left Law Enforcement in 2008. 

 Jon has been a lifelong learner. He has trained with firearm instructors like:  Chuck Habermehl, Chris Costa,  Max Joseph, Allen Brosnan, Don Edwards, Scott Jedlinski, Bill Blowers, Chuck Pressburg, and Dave Keenom to name a few.
